Woman Says She Was Raped In 'Real World' House
Victim Blacks Out After Being Given Drink
SAN DIEGO -- San Diego Police said Tuesday they are investigating a 22-year-old woman's allegations that she was raped in the oceanfront home where MTV is filming the latest season of its Real World reality program.
The woman, who is not a cast member of the television show, said she believes she was assaulted between Nov. 14 and Nov. 15 at the home, which serves as the production area and living quarters for the cast and crew.
The woman told investigators she went to a downtown nightclub on Nov. 14, where she met a man who was an acquaintance of one of the The Real World San Diego cast members. The woman told police she consumed a drink offered by the man and then blacked out.
She said that when she awoke the next morning at 10:30 a.m., she was fully clothed and on a bed in the guest room of the The Real World house, being filmed by a camera crew.
The woman had some pain in her genital area and believed that someone had sex with her while she was unconscious, according to court documents.

Carmen Electra Weds Dave Navarro on MTV
Let's hope this one lasts longer than her first marriage.
Carmen Electra wed Dave Navarro on Saturday at the St. Regis Hotel in Los Angeles, MTV confirmed to E! Online. The network was skimpy with details, saving them for the couple's upcoming reality series, '''Til Death Do Us Part: Carmen & Dave.'' Guests reportedly included the Osbourne clan and members of Navarro's band, Jane's Addiction.
The former ''Baywatch'' babe had been engaged to the former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist since 2001. It's the second wedding for both; She was married to basketball eccentric Dennis Rodman in 1998, but they split after a few days and were divorced within six months. Navarro was also briefly married years ago, in a little-publicized pagan union that also ended in divorce.
Now, however, the newlyweds will join Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey on MTV's reality roster, with '''Til Death'' chronicling their wedding planning, bachelor and bachelorette parties, and nuptials, beginning in January.

Justin Guarini Is MIA From 'Idol' X-Mas, Record Label
With his halo of curls, Justin Guarini is kind of hard to miss, yet no one spotted him on Tuesday night's ''An American Idol Christmas.'' Though he'd been listed among the stars scheduled to sing on the special, ''Idol'''s producer told EW.com that Guarini didn't perform because he was in New Zealand at the time of the taping. His absence coincided with reports that he's also disappeared from the roster of RCA Records.
Us magazine reports that the label has dropped the ''Idol'' runner-up, in the wake of poor sales of last summer's ''Justin Guarini'' CD. RCA has not commented, but Guarini has been erased, Soviet-style from its website. Save for a press release dating from January, there's no indication that he was ever on the label, where ''Idol'' stars Kelly Clarkson and Clay Aiken also record, and a link to a press release about Guarini's signing with them leads to an error page. But we bet you can still find copies of the DVD ''From Justin to Kelly'' on eBay.

Paris Hilton Nixes More TV Appearances
Perhaps life is not so simple after all.
Hotel heiress Paris Hilton, the subject of the upcoming FOX reality show, "The Simple Life" -- and, more recently, the star of a homemade video detailing her love life -- is coming under fire for ducking the limelight, says the Hollywood Reporter.
The socialite Hilton, who has never shied from the spotlight and was poised to join the Hollywood mainstream with her debut in "The Simple Life" on Dec. 2, had been scheduled to make the usual publicity rounds in advance of the show's debut. Hilton was slated to appear on "The Late Show with David Letterman," MTV's "TRL," Craig Kilborn's late-night show, "Live with Regis and Kelly" and many others -- but that was before a pornographic videotape featuring Hilton and her former boyfriend, Rick Salomon, hit the Internet.
That tape, which sparked a round of lawsuits and finger-pointing between Hilton and Salomon, resulted in Hilton hiring PR mogul Dan Klores to manage the fallout. Klores promptly canceled all of her television appearances, which in turn caused an uproar among TV hosts.
"I'm sorry that interviews were canceled," Klores said, "but I'm here to protect her."
Nonetheless, the entire ordeal seems to be drumming up quite a bit of advance publicity for "The Simple Life," which stars Hilton and Lionel Richie daughter, Nicole Richie, as the two wealthy, pampered city girls try make do on an Arkansas farm.

'Joe Millionaire' Gets Girl and Ranch
"Joe Millionaire" cowboy David Smith has picked a girl and 'fessed up to his actual assets -- or lack thereof. Czech brunette Linda, who bested 13 other European beauties to land a $250,000 prize (along with Smith's heart), stood by her man -- winning him a 90-acre Texas ranch. But the romance appears to have fizzled completely for TV audiences, who mostly ignored this latest installment.
In Monday night's final episode, after admitting to Linda that he wasn't a tycoon, Smith left the Italian villa where the FOX dating show had been filming and returned home to Texas -- where Linda was waiting for him, notes the Associated Press.
"I felt that David was calling for me," she giggled before the cameras.
FOX executives appear to be less blissful about the fate of their second-season show, "The Next Joe Millionaire: An International Affair."
"Our instincts told us from the very beginning that 'Joe Millionaire' was a one-time stunt and I think we got greedy," Sandy Grushow, FOX television entertainment chairman, told reporters Monday.
The first time around, some 23 million viewers tuned in each week to watch the escapades of hunky construction worker Evan Marriott. But the gimmick -- in which contestants were told their working-class prospective suitor was made of money -- fell flat on second viewing.
This season's shows have averaged only 6.5 million viewers -- making it the No. 85 show for the season, according to Nielsen Media Research.

'Survivor' Alum Elisabeth Becomes 'View' Co-Host
This time, Elisabeth Filarski Hasselbeck was voted into the tribe, not out. The ''Survivor: The Outback'' contestant outplayed and outlasted her rivals to win the coveted twentysomething seat on ''The View,'' vacated last winter by Lisa Ling. The 26-year-old former shoe designer's victory was announced on Monday's broadcast of the ABC chatfest, with Barbara Walters and the other panelists revealing the name ''Elisabeth'' on their paper ballots, ''Survivor''-style.
''They say that life is full of choices, but boy, we had such a rough time with this one,'' Walters said on Monday's show. Hasselbeck was the last of three finalists to enjoy a weeklong trial run, following Rachel Campos (of ''The Real World: San Francisco'' fame) and Erin Hershey Presley, of the canceled ABC soap ''Port Charles.''
''I feel good sitting here,'' said Hasselbeck, who's served as host of the Style Channel's ''The Look for Less.'' ''I have to say, after last week, I was so sad to leave.''
Apparently, Hasselbeck was the last to learn of her hiring; even her husband, Washington Redskins quarterback Tim Hasselbeck, knew in advance and taped a message of congratulations that aired on Monday's ''View.''

New Show: Electra and Navarro's Wedding
The latest celebrity couple to receive the MTV reality-show treatment is Jane's Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro and actress Carmen Electra.
Production has begun on " 'Til Death Do Us Part: Carmen & Dave," a documentary miniseries that will follow the engaged pair as they plan their wedding, which is scheduled to take place in Los Angeles later this year. The show is scheduled to premiere in January.
"MTV has been given an unprecedented look into the personal and professional lives of Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro to reveal the behind-the-scenes process of putting on a wedding that might prove to be the most talked-about event of the year," MTV/VH1 president of entertainment Brian Graden said in a statement.
The show will cover the planning of the wedding, the pair's bachelor and bachelorette parties, a guest performance and the wedding itself, which will bring the series to a close.
Jane's Addiction just wrapped a European tour in support of its latest album "Strays" (Capitol), which debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200 in August and has sold 335,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. Navarro also performed Saturday with his band Camp Freddy at a Los Angeles benefit for the Step Up Women's Network.

All-Star 'Survivor' Will Kick Off on Super Bowl Sunday
Feb. 1 will be a night of kickoffs, not to mention fouls, penalties, and special teams. Not only is it the night of the Super Bowl, but it's also the launch of the long-awaited all-star edition of "Survivor." CBS, which is airing both competitions, has been mum on who agreed to be stranded for the second time, but rumors on fan websites say the players will include such past champions and memorable personalities as Richard Hatch, Ethan Zohn, Rudy Boesch, Susan Hawk, Jerri Manthey, Colby Donaldson, and current "Pearl Islands" breakout Rupert Boneham.
"We were simply casting for the most memorable characters we could find," producer Mark Burnett, tells USA Today, adding that two contestants on his wish list turned him down. "Because they've all played before, their whole mantra is to expect the unexpected. So their own imaginations are doing them in more than anything I might do." Because they're all experienced castaways, Burnett says he made the competition "much, much harder," offering no rations and more difficult immunity challenges. "They got kicked in the butt from the very beginning."
CBS has also been tight-lipped about the location where the all-star series is currently filming, though it's rumored to be an island near the Panama location where the "Pearl Islands" edition was shot. However, USA Today reports, there will be more of everything: 18 contestants instead of 16, 14 episodes instead of 13, and $25,000 for the first player voted off the island, instead of $2,500. (The winner's jackpot, though, is still $1 million.)
CBS had success a couple years ago with the post-Super Bowl gambit. Some 45 million viewers stuck around after the football championship to watch the premiere of "Survivor: The Australian Outback." Now, if only CBS could convince the NFL to let the two conference champion teams vote players off the roster after each fumble.

'JEANNIE' IN JESSICA'S FUTURE?
BRACE for an overload of Jessica Simpson. Not only has the ditsy pop tart signed on for another MTV season of "Newlyweds" with her hubby, Nick Lachey, she is up for the lead role in the movie version of "I Dream of Jeannie." On top of that, she just signed a secret deal with ABC to star in her own sitcom.
"Jessica's show will be prime time - kind of like what Eve is doing, or what Jerry Seinfeld did," our spy said.
A rep for Simpson, who famously remained a virgin until she married, didn't return calls. But the bubble-headed blonde recently told Rolling Stone magazine that she was heavily in debt - to the tune of "a couple of million dollars" - after her second album, "Irresistible," flopped. Her third album, "In This Skin," has languished at the bottom of the Billboard 100 chart.
But Simpson won't have to worry about money for much longer. She will soon be raking in a fortune - and not from her music.
An insider told PAGE SIX that, with the TV shows, the movie and planned lines of clothing, perfume and makeup, Simpson should be reeling in close to $20 million this year.
According to Rolling Stone, Simpson has signed up product endorsement deals with Proctor & Gamble, Nokia, Tommy Hilfiger, and American Eagle.
She's also working on a book of "journal entries," which could get scary, as Simpson's current journal in Rolling Stone is full of worries about her "boobs" (they are "too much - people look. When I was on the Atkins diet, they got really small, like, a B size, which is crazy . . . I have Ds now.")
Several pages could be filled with her funnier remarks from the TV show, like the time she got confused by the Chicken of the Sea tuna label: "Is this chicken - what I have - or is this fish?"
But just in case, Simpson and Lachey are lining their coffers with autograph signings and private performances.
When told that Jacob Arabo - a.k.a. "Jacob the Jeweler" - would give her $100,000 to sing three numbers at his son's bar mitzvah, the couple let out a whoop and Simpson declared, "I'll be there tomorrow!"

Paris Hilton Caught on Bootleg Sex Tape
Socialite Paris Hilton -- who's already suffered the indignity of having a graphic photo of her exiting a car without any underwear circulated around the globe -- is now starring in an amateur film much like the infamous Pamela Anderson-Tommy Lee marriage tape, reports the New York Post.
The video, reportedly shot in 2000, features the now 22-year-old hotel heiress and Shannen Doherty's off-again, on-again husband, Rick Solomon, now 33, in a variety of X-rated, compromising positions.
Doherty and Solomon split up after the tape was made but have since reconciled. Hilton is said to be in Australia and unavailable for comment.
An anonymous person, who may be planning to sell the tape over the Internet, has allegedly been circulating the tape among members of the media.
According to Reuters, a rep for Hilton, confirming the existence of the tape, says: "This was something she did with Rick while they were dating after he was no longer with Shannen, and it was something that was intended for their own personal use."
The rep continued: "This tape was never intended to be viewed by the public, and it is in poor taste that someone has decided to release it."
According to a statement from Paris's parents published in Thursday's New York Post: "The Hilton family is greatly saddened at how low human beings will stoop to exploit their daughter Paris, who is sweet-natured, for their own self-promotion, as well as profit motives. ... Anyone in any way involved in this video is guilty of criminal activity, and will be ... vigorously prosecuted."
Meanwhile, in related news, FOX has canceled its series Skin," about a star-crossed romance between a pornographer's daughter and a district attorney's son, after only three episodes. In its place, the network will run back-to-back episodes of its ailing "Joe Millionaire" from 8-10 p.m. EST on Nov. 10 and 17, leading into the reality series' two-hour finale Nov. 24.

'The View' Is Down to Three Co-Host Finalists
Our long national nightmare is nearly over: After nearly a year, ABC is close to announcing a replacement for Lisa Ling on ''The View.'' The daytime chat panel has been without a permanent resident of the Gen X chair vacated last December by Ling and before that by Debbie Matenopoulos, but Viewmistress Barbara Walters announced on Monday's show that producers have narrowed down the search to three finalists.
Drumroll please: The finalists are Rachel Campos, best known for her stint on ''The Real World'''s San Francisco season; ''Survivor: The Australian Outback'' survivor Elisabeth Hasselback, currently the host of the Style Channel's ''The Look for Less''; and Erin Hershey Presley, who starred on ABC's now-canceled soap ''Port Charles.''
After Ling left to become the host of MSNBC's ''National Geographic Explorer,'' the remaining ''View'' panelists -- Walters, Star Jones, Meredith Vieira, and Joy Behar -- filled her chair with a rotating list of guest hosts (Mariah Carey, Whoopi Goldberg) as well as auditioners like Campos, Hasselbeck, Presley, Associated Press entertainment reporter Christy Lemire, and ''The Next Joe Millionaire" host Samantha Harris.
Starting this week, each of the finalists will get a weeklong callback, with Walters announcing the winner on Nov. 24. Campos started the host-off by breaking some big news: She's pregnant with her third child by her husband, fellow ''Real World'' alum Sean Duffy, of the Boston season.
